Anne Hathaway has become an insufferable ego maniac since becoming a celebrity. She continued her parade of pride post Oscars in a new interview with Us Weekly.
She admits that the criticism of her emotional award winning speeches at the SAG, Golden Globes, and BAFTA "had really gotten to me. So I worked very hard on my Oscar winning speech".
Before she even got in to the show she was boasting about how hard she works.
“My dress is Prada and I didn’t know what I was wearing until about 3 hours ago,” she told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet. “Procrastination?” the E! host asked. “No, I think I was just working too hard,” she explained.
Let me try and explain this to you in a way you can understand...YOU NEVER WORK HARD AT ANYTHING! You play make-pretend for a living. You're good at it, and you may have had to learn some things, but working hard involves being miserable. Playing in Les Miserable doesn't count. Here's a test to see if you're working hard. Ask people who are working when you meet them if they would like to switch jobs with you. Like the person cutting your hair, doing your nails, driving you around, rubbing your feet, spoon feeding you etc. Writing a 90 second speech thanking people who made your award possible may seem like hard work when the only other thing on the day's agenda is looking through clothes that designers have delivered to your home in hopes you'll wear theirs. But it was harder work listening to that 90 second speech without breaking my computer than it was for you to write it. By the way, because listening to Anne Hathaway's speech was the hardest thing about my day, then I recognize that I don't work hard either.
