Condolences to Clint Black, whose father G.A. Black took his own life this past Sunday. Apparently, declining health and the loss of his wife a year and a half ago led him to end his suffering. Clint says, “Our family is devastated by this news. We are still in the beginning stages of preparations to honor our father, and at this time, we respectfully ask for privacy until we have had the opportunity to fully process what’s transpired over the last 48 hours.” Mr. Black was 78.
If you are new to Country music, this is one of Clint's biggest releases. His wife Lisa Hartman Black joined him on this 1999 hit, 'When I said I do.'
Clint has always been a very sweet man during station visits, local concerts or even phone calls to help with fund raising for deserving charities, he's always done everything I've asked. My thoughts are with Clint and his family. Here's a Christmas Classic from Clint that has become part of every holiday at my house!
