Ron Novak and Michelle Bush played a game from a company named Treasure Games. Treasure Games had hidden a genie lamp somewhere in the U.S. They give out clues to people who pay $9 a month to subscribe to their app. They launched their first game in January and told people the lamp would be in Texas or New Mexico. If you find the lamp the prize is either 1 million cash or 3 wishes with a total value to not exceed 1.2 million.
Ron & Michelle were sure that the clues were leading them to the Dallas area. They took 3 trips to Dallas to search. On lucky trip #3 they found it!
The couple opted for the three wishes, using the first wish one to donate to a food charity that had fed Ron during a time when he was homeless.
With their last 2 wishes they purchased a motel to renovate and got a new Sprinter van so they could accommodate their four dogs during their future adventures.
Treasure Games says their next contest will start in June.
