The Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament happens in Morehead City NC and is one of the biggest fishing events in the country.
Fittingly, Michael Jordan who grew up in Wilmington NC has entered this year's 62nd installment of the annual tournament and made an immediate impact. Jordan and his crew on his 8 million boat, "Catch 23," reeled in a 442.3-pound blue marlin!
There is 3.4 million up for grabs in this competition and believe it or not MJ's crew isn't in the top 3 with their haul. The top fish currently is 494.2 pounds! However as you can see in Michael's interview below he is excited to keep competing and with the tourney going through Saturday he hopes to crack 500 pounds.
