Man Repeatedly Called 911 Because He Was Lonely

A 62-year-old man from Uniontown, Pennsylvania is accused of repeatedly calling 9-1-1 for someone to talk to because he couldn't stand being alone in quarantine. Roger Chick called 13 times between March 23rd and April 8th claiming to have high blood pressure.

The Herald Standard reports that each time first responders arrived at his home they found his vital signs were normal. Responders told him to go the his family doctor, but Chick called 911 again instead.

An officer says Chick admitted on March 27th that he was calling because he just wanted someone to talk to. Chick is free on a five-thousand-dollar bond.
